Why do I base my blog on the above quote, you might ask. Do I hope to gain notoriety, through destroying other peoples hard work? Not really. I’m not here to tell you what movies you should watch, what music you should listen to. I am here to give you my perspective, you may find it useless, you may find it enlightening.
When I read reviews in the newspaper, I often wonder why has this person have a job? Some critics these days, are stooges, quote hounds. Writing want the studio wants to hear, hoping to see their words on the front of a dvd cover or a movie poster.
I’m sick of most recognised critics, not only do they sell out their opinions, they give people the wrong idea about the quality of a movie.
I know it’s a bit rich saying that critics are pond scum, while making a movie review based blog, but I am not a critic, I’m an average 20 year old guy, wanting to share his discoveries, and dissuade people from seeing over-hyped Hollywood snoozefests. I do it for the love of movies, and really that’s all you need.
